The 10 Super Bowl healthy food ? Recipes - Domain Keys Forum

Who does not love a good Super Bowl party with lots of delicious food? The Super Bowl is not just the game itself. It is also about people who are with the delicious food you eat, and who could forget the commercials?

Along with the fun of the festival is a lot of thousands of calories. ?According to an article published in the U.S. Today, Super Bowl parties are second to Thanksgiving with respect to the number of calories consumed. If we are not careful, we can eat our daily calorie intake is doubled for a Super Bowl game.

Cheese Dip?- Cheese, sausage, and Rotel ? that's a winning combination in my book! Serve with some Tostitos and I'm in heaven with cheese dip. Of course, I'm in heaven of calories! 1/4 cup cheese with homemade Chile is 6 points ahead!

Cheese Dip healthy ? To get the same goodness and cheese with less fat and calories, try the Chile con Queso. This cheese is only 2 points for every 1/4 cup serving for they are saving half the calories and fat by choosing this healthy alternative.

Guacamole!

Guacamole?- Tostitos If you have sitting around, why not have some homemade guacamole? Filled with avocado, onion, lime juice and cilantro, this is a "healthy" fat, right? A 1/4 cup serving of store-bought guacamole will cost 3 points ahead!

Healthy Guacamole ? ? For a better alternative, try this recipe almost Guacamole. This recipe is made with asparagus so it also gets its share of vegetables! This alternative is the guacamole ? get ready ?-NO-MORE POINTS! With the use of nonfat mayonnaise and asparagus, it's free! Just make sure you have the chips in the guacamole dip!

Buffalo Chicken Dip

Buffalo Chicken Dip?- Chicken, cheese and hot sauce ? sounds like a wing-buffalo on steroids. The first time I had this immersion in the house of my friend Allison, and was so delicious! I knew it was not healthy, but it was so good I could not stop eating! The average fall of buffalo chicken will cost a whopping 4 points, more than 1/4 cup serving. This is without any kind of tortilla chips for dipping!

Healthy Buffalo Chicken Dip ? My friend Katie on Dashing dish came up with a much healthier version of this delicious dip! Their cheese sauce Buffalo chicken looks so delicious and will save 4.3, the points because your version is only a portion of points, plus 1/4 cup. SCORE! Thank you, Katie!

Jalapeno Poppers

Jalapeno Poppers?- A favorite in my house are some jalapeno poppers. Jalapenos stuffed with cream cheese. You get the hot pepper cheese and sticky, but you also get a whopping 4 points, more FOR POPPER! Santos calories!

Jalapeno Poppers healthy ? I found low-fat jalapeno poppers Kim and if you choose this option, it will save 3 points by Popper. His recipe is only 1 point per-popper ? what a savings!

Nachos?- A big plate of nachos ? full of crunchy chips, cheese, meat, olives are olives for me, sour cream and guacamole. A big plate of nachos like this will cost ?-hold onto your seat for this ? -16 Points per serving! Yes!

Healthy Nachos ? I found some healthy nachos only costs 4 points per serving. I'd go for them if I were you!

Chile

Chile?- When you walk into a Super Bowl, always nice to smell cooking chile. Many people have it in the slow cooker all day so the house smells of chili for the party! Chile is a must because if you are hosting a Super Bowl! A cup of chili with beans traditional 7 points will cost more per cup! That is, without ingredients such as cheese and sour cream!

Chocolate Chip Cookies?- Another must-have dessert is a good old chocolate chip cookies fashion. Preheat the oven I can smell it now. A traditional chocolate chip cookie, cut and bake, are 3 points, more than one cookie of an ounce.

The healthier chocolate chip cookie ? Weight Watchers has come with Mini Chocolate Chip Cookies that are only one point per serving. You can also get cookies shaped in a bite size piece. Just do not eat a lot of them!

Cocktails

Cocktails?- It's cocktail time! What would a Super Bowl party without adult beverages? Beer is the drink of choice for many men (Try to stick to light beer!), But for the ladies, who always prefer a cocktail! A traditional cocktail will cost more than 4 points for every cocktail all the way to 10 points ? for a drink! And who will have just one?

Healthy Cocktails ? Carrot cake and have come up with a list of 7 recipes low calorie drinks for healthy cocktails. She has a recipe for a Pina Colada, Sangria, John Daly, Cotton Candy (yum!), Creamsicle, Pomtini, and a skinny Margaret. You have to check these out if you are a drinker of cocktail!

There is no excuse for not trying to lighten the traditional dishes of this year's Super Bowl party. If you go to another place for a party, offer to bring something. That way at least you know that one thing in the party is healthy!
